Ability to create Galleries

It is massively useful to have a well-indexed searchable database of digital assets -- so useful that it should be possible for any Application to make use of it, as it does with the O/S file system. Daminion doesn't go far enough in making collections of Digital Assets available for use.

With "advanced search" along with Saved Searches, you can create a set of media, which is a 'gallery' of sorts, but doesn't go far enough. A Gallery is a set of media files, which should be available for use outside of the DAM system.

I can start creating a gallery with a Search, but then, after I exclude various items, and reorder them in the right sequence, I should be able to save that as a "gallery". The Gallery can then be fed into any other program, but right now, there's no way to do this. The usefulness of the Asset database is severely limited.

I should be able to "export" a Gallery to a file system without copying the files. In the NTFS file system, I can create "hard links" - just like a Symlink, well-known to users of Linux. A Folder full of hard links is a gallery, that can be used by any other program that can use a list of media files.
